CHAPTER 3

“James Killer,” I smiled as I answered the knock on the front door.

“Long time, brother.” James gave a wide grin and charged to hug me.

We awkwardly hugged and I soon pulled away, letting out a uneasy laugh. My dad got up from the couch and came over to us.

  “Who're you?” he asked.

James looked up at him, “The name's James Killer, friend.”

“What kind of last name is that? Killer, pssh, more like caveman.” my dad spit.

James' eyebrows connected and he tried to take a step forward but I put my hand on his chest to stop him

“James this is... my dad.” I sighed and backed away from him.

He nodded and studied him. His eyes knit as he looked about him. James then turned to me, his long black hair fell into his face, covering his left eye.

“I don't like this man.” he told me.

I huffed, “Tell me 'bout it.”

James looked back to my dad then at Sam.

“What did you call me for?” he asked me.

“We need your help with something.” I informed.

He twirled his head back towards me, “Anything friend. What is up?”

I sighed and looked at Sam, “Can we take this back there?”

“Ya know Joseph, we're all men here. Why so many secrets?” my dad questioned.

“Well for one, I don't trust you.” I spit and nodded towards the back room, “If you need anything. The front door's right there.” I told him, throwing my hand behind me towards the front door.

I walked passed James and followed Sam into the back room. James closed the door once we were inside.

“What's this gotta do with?” James asked, looking at the two of us.

“We need to trace an Email.” I told him.

  “Whose?” he asked.

“Someone has been emailing Kyle and we need to find out who.” Sam said.

  James laughed and looked down.

  “What's so funny?” I asked.

He looked up at me and smiled, “I know who it is.”

“What? You do?” Sam looked at him.

He nodded and moved his hands in a circle motion, "I am the one emailing him. I am, Polly the Princess.“

I gave him a confused look and he laughed.

“Why are you emailing him?” I asked him.

“Screw that, I wanna know why the hell are you pretending to be a 19 year old girl?” Sam spit.

“I found him on this date site. And wanted to mess with him.” James admitted.

“You messing with him might actually be helpful.” I huffed.

“Joey, you don't find it even a little bit creepy that a 40 something year old man is on a dating site pretending to be a 19 year old girl?” Sam questioned behind me.

“Can you schedule a meet up with Kyle?” I asked James.

He nodded, “Of course. Where and when?”

“Blacksmoke Park, by the pool.” I told him.

He nodded and ripped his phone from his pocket, “You got it, Joey.”

“Seriously?” Sam complained, “We're not gonna even gonna give it a thought?”

“Sam, what James does on his free time is none of my business.” I spoke.

James looked up from his phone and looked passed me to Sam and gave a wink.

“Great...” Sam sighed, “I've been working with a Russian pervert.”

James' phone made a beeping sound and he let out a chuckle, “He called me hot.”

“Alright James, C'mon man. Enough jerkin' around.” I looked at him.

He gave me a look and rolled his eyes, “Blacksnake park, by the pool.”

“What'd he say?” I asked, trying to peer over his shoulder.

“He said,” James giggled, “'B there in a hour my princes. *heart*'.”

“Wait, he's actually gonna meet you?” Sam asked.

“Why wouldn't he? I'm his princess.” James laughed.

“Talk about stranger danger...” Sam mumbled.

“You have no idea.“ James winked at him.

“Okay,” I nodded, “Time to gear up.”
